A guide with one or two fluffy helpers will meet you at the Tourist Information Center, from where our little trip will begin.
During a leisurely walk, you will have time to learn a little more about the history and nature of Svalbard, listen to interesting city stories of the past and present, sometimes sounding almost like fairy tales... And, of course, get to know tireless and friendly sled dogs - after all, the end of our route will be in their home, kennel!
Here you can see the life of sled dogs, get acquainted with the life of mushers and learn about the historical and practical part, hidden behind the image of persistent four-legged participants of great expeditions.
After playing and cuddling with the dogs and a cup of warm drink with biscuits, your guide will take you back to town. We are not so far away, but any route is always more pleasant together, isn't it?

Practical info
The tour includes:• Walking tour in the vicinity of the city, accompanied by a guide with one or two dogs
• Excursion into kennel and communication with dogs
• Warm drinks and biscuits- In addition:• Duration and difficulty can be adjusted upon request and the physical condition of the participants
- Cancellation policy:
- If cancelled 22 days or more prior to departure 100 % refund
- If cancelled 22-7 days prior to departure 50 % refund
- Cancellation less than 7 days prior to departure is a "no show" and does not qualify for any refund. You may apply to your insurance company for a refund if you provide a medical certificate.
- If Svalbard Villmarkssenter decides to cancel a trip due to weather conditions or any other reasons, you will receive a full refund!
