Arctic Expedition - a real getaway from the city life and routine
To drive the dogs in the middle of the Northern nowhere, spend the nights in an igloo with only snowy mountains around and have four-legged guardians to protect you from unexpected guests - after such a trip, you'll easily get a nomination of the true Arctic explorer!
That's the moment when every member of the group is equal and participates in the route planning, cooking and handling the dogs.
We will pick you up from your place of accommodation in Longyearbyen at 11:00 and get you to our kennel. You will meet our dogs and the guide will get you familiar with the safety and mushing instructions.
You will take part in getting the dogs ready in the sled and then the time comes!
We will spend the nights in igloo or tents depending on the weather conditions in warm sleeping bags on reindeer pelt.
You do not need to have specific experience of dog sledding. Our guides are both competent and adequately experienced in the conditions on Svalbard. They are equipped with weapons, emergency beacon, flare gun cal, flares, first aid kit, etc.
However, it is important if the participants have some experience in outdoor activities. It is necessary that all group members are in good physical health conditions. The weather can vary during the day, and with respect to the safety of our guests, we reserve the right to make any necessary changes to our trip without this affecting the cost.
Please kindly note that all our trips are associated with certain risks as we operate in the Arctic climate and our work includes interaction with animals. Taking a tour with us, our guests should understand that any damage caused by the non-compliance with rules presented prior to the tour is beyond our responsibility. The agreement with these conditions is to be signed before the departure.
